NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING, TOWN OF CANTERBURY, NH PROPOSED CHANGES TO ZONING ORDINACE, MEETING HOUSE 7 CENTER ROAD, CANTERBURY, NH TUESDAY January 27, 2026, AT 7PM

The Planning Board will hold a public hearing for proposed Warrant Article Amendments to be voted by ballot at the first session of the Annual Town Meeting, March 13, 2026.

There are proposals to amend the Cluster Subdivision Ordinance. amend 6.4.c. 

from “The density, or maximum number of residential dwelling units permitted in a cluster neighborhood, may not exceed the density allowed under Section 5.2 of the Zoning Ordinance, except when a request for a density incentive is approved by the Planning Board under Section 6.6 or Section 6.7.”

to “The density, or maximum number of residential dwelling units permitted in a cluster neighborhood, may not exceed 50% (rounded to nearest whole unit) of the density allowed under Section 5.2 of the Zoning Ordinance, except when a request for a density incentive is approved by the Planning Board under Section 6.6 or Section 6.7.”
