Supervisors of the Checklist Meeting
May 11 @ 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
New Hampshire law requires that the Supervisors of the Checklist verify the checklist every year. This process requires the re-registration of voters who have not voted in the past five years and did not register to vote after the last state general election. The Canterbury Supervisors of the Checklist will be meeting at the Town Offices, 10 Hackleboro Road on Monday, May 11 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. to review the list of voters that meet these criteria. Once the list is approved, notice letters describing the re-registration process will be sent to these voters at the address the voter provided when registering.
In addition, the Supervisors will be voting on additions and corrections to the checklist at this session. Applicants for registration must provide proof of citizenship, age, identity, and domicile when they come to register.
The Town Clerk also accepts new voter registrations and changes during regular office hours. Any applications for registration or changes received by the Town Clerk will be reviewed by the Supervisors of the Checklist at their next public session. Qualified applicants may also register to vote on the day of an election.
